About

Meet Andria Wallace

Hi there! I’m Andria Wallace, a certified Orton-Gillingham dyslexia practitioner who loves working with really great kids who need help improving their reading and spelling skills. I have been working one-on-one with students using Orton-Gillingham since 2009, and bring my experience and creativity to make sure that each and every student receives personalized hands-on multisensory instruction in a supportive and positive learning environment. There’s nothing more exciting than helping students begin to experience success and improvements in their reading, spelling and self-confidence!

Training and Qualifications

I received my training and certification through the Scottish Rites Children’s Dyslexia Center, which is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC).

This rigorous Orton-Gillingham structured literacy training required 45 classroom hours of masters-level instruction, plus a 100-hour supervised practicum. Certification must be renewed every 3 years by completing 30 hours of continuing education.

For more than 10 years, I tutored at the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Southern Illinois. I now provide that same high-quality Orton-Gillingham tutoring through my private practice in the St. Louis metro area.

About the Tutor – Andria Wallace

If you are looking for an Orton-Gillingham tutor to help your child become a stronger, more confident reader, I invite you to get in touch to see how I can help!

For Professionals working with students:

The tools, tips and strategies are ones that I have used with my students. As I tried different ways to add visual and tactile activities to the drills and exercises of the Orton-Gillingham based lesson structure, I decided that I wanted a place to organize and share these ideas with others.

This site contains both tips and strategies that I have found helpful in working to add a multisensory component to lesson activities, as well as products I have created that may be purchased from the website. I hope you will find these to be useful resources as you work with your students.

Warm regards,
Andria Wallace
